How to Encrypt an Email
1. Open Microsoft Outlook: Launch the Outlook desktop application on your computer.
2. Click “New Email: Start composing a new message by clicking the New Email button in the top-left corner.

3. Compose Your Message:
- Enter the recipient’s email address.
- Add a subject and write your message as usual.
- Attach any necessary files.
4. Click the “Apps” Button: In the message window, look for the Apps button in the ribbon (usually near the top right or under the “Message” tab).
5. Send the email by selecting “Proofpoint Encrypt”: From the dropdown list, click on Proofpoint Encrypt. The email will be encrypted and routed securely through Proofpoint.

Notes:
- You only need to click Proofpoint Encrypt once per message.
- If you don’t see the Apps button or Proofpoint Encrypt option, contact your IT administrator to ensure the plugin is properly configured.
