Removing someone from a Teams Group or distribution list
1. Access Microsoft Teams:
- Open your Teams App
- If using a web browser, go to the Microsoft Teams website: https://teams.microsoft.com/)
- Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account (work or school account).
2. Navigate to the Team:
- On the left-hand sidebar, select the team from which you want to remove a member.
3. Access the Team's Settings:
- In the top-right corner of the team interface, click on the ellipsis (three dots) to open the dropdown menu.
- Choose "Manage team" from the dropdown.
4. Manage Team Members:
- In the "Manage team" window, select the "Members" tab at the top.
5. Locate the Member to Remove:
- Scroll down or use the search bar to locate the member you want to remove from the team.
6. Remove Member:
- To the right of the member's name, you'll see an X. Click on the X.
7. Close and Exit:
- They will no longer have access to the team's emails, conversations, files, and resources.
