Resetting or changing the View in Outlook
To reset the view in Microsoft Outlook, you can follow these steps. These instructions are based on the Microsoft Outlook 2019 version, but the steps are similar in other versions of Outlook:
1. Open Microsoft Outlook: Launch Outlook on your computer. Ensure you are running the Outlook application, not the web version.
2. Click on the View Tab: At the top of the Outlook window, you'll see a series of tabs. Click on the "View" tab to access view-related options.
3. Reset View: Under the "View" tab, you will see a section called "Current View." Click on it to open a dropdown menu.
4. Choose Reset View: In the dropdown menu, you should see the "Reset View" option. Click on it.
5. Confirm Reset: A confirmation dialog box will appear, asking if you're sure you want to reset the view to its default settings. Click "Yes" to proceed.
6. View Reset: Outlook will reset the view of the selected folder to its default settings. You should now see the folder with the standard view settings.
7. Customize the View (Optional):f you want to customize the view further, you can use the "View Settings" option in the same "Current View" dropdown menu. This allows you to change the sorting, filtering, and other view settings to your preferences.
8. Change the View (Optional): If you need to change the complete view of Outlook, click "change view." The default view is "Compact."
